PROJECTS

Golden Gate Bridge SDNS, San Francisco, CA (2019 - Present)

JTWCE has provided construction engineering services in the following categories:

  • Design of simple and complex scaffold systems

  • Design of temporary traveling scaffold system

  • Engineered heavy lift plans with loads exceeding 100,000 pounds

  • Evaluation of the existing suspension span structure

  • Design of cableway (highline) crane systems

  • 3d Modeling Services

Mac Hoke Bridge, Pendleton, OR (2022-Present)

JTWCE designed a new steel truss bridge to replace the original span that had sustained damage due to floodborne debris. The project timeline required an accelerated design schedule with the design being completed in approximately 4 months.

The final design incorporates a modular design that can be adapted to future bridge projects that require an accelerated design phase.

Smith Canal Floodgates, Stockton, CA (2021 - 2022)

JTWCE has provided construction engineering services to design complex rigging to erect floodgates weighing more than 100,000 lbs a piece. The rigging design allowed for the gates to be rotated from the horizontal shipping position to the vertical final position.

Fire Cleanup Bridge Design, Various Locations in California (2020-Present)

JTWCE has designed numerous temporary bridges and provided evaluation of many existing bridges to support equipment and haul truck loading for the purpose of remediating properties affected by wildfires. Temporary bridge spans ranged from 15-foot simple spans to 100-foot multispan structures. Existing bridges were mainly steel flatcar bridges of unknown vintage ranging from 30 foot to 90 foot spans.

Mokelumne River Bridge, Isleton, CA (2019 - 2020)

JTWCE has provided construction engineering services to support the retrofit and replacement of mechanical components on the 1940s era swing bridge. Services included design of jacking system to completely lift the 2,200,000 pound span, design of custom access platforms including movable access platforms, design of mechanized hoisting system to move bridge counterweights under bridge, and evaluation of the existing structure for jacking loads and loads from equipment.
